Firewheel Anthology launch to take place this Friday

One of two new collections, the Firewheel Anthology and CD, will be launched on Friday 26th February.

A special launch event will be taking place to celebrate the occasion.

The launch will take place from 6.00pm – 7.30pm at the Berrick Saul Building Treehouse, University of York.

The reception includes free refreshments and a performance at 6.45pm of pieces from the Firewheel Anthology by the Late Music Ensemble.

The Firewheel album will be available as a CD and digital download. Links to where they can be purchased from will be released on Friday 26th February.

Firewheel is a collaboration with ensemble Dark Inventions. The anthology publishes eight new chamber ensemble works and folk song arrangements commissioned by the ensemble:

Stef Conner – The Shipwrecked Ghost
Patrick Jones – Uhtceare
Christopher LeedhamMöbius Sticks & The Cruel Mother
Benjamin GaitThree Inventions.

The title work by Philip Cashian was commissioned with financial assistance from the Britten-Pears Foundation.
