Three World Premiere Recordings of Works by Hilda Paredes

Wergo has released a portrait CD of House Composer, Hilda Paredes, Altazor, featuring world premiere recordings of three important works, performed by Ensemble Aventure with baritone Guillermo Anzorena (soloist in Altazor) and electronics by Thomas Hummel(Experimentalstudio des SWR).

Altazor (2011) – monodrama for baritone, eight soloists, and electronics; commission by Festival d’Automne à Paris and IRCAM; text from the epic poem by Chilean poet Vicente Huidobro.

Epitafio (2021) – ensemble work composed in response to the passing of the composer’s mother.

Siphonophorae – ensemble work inspired by a jellyfish’s structure and a visual artwork.
Mode Records, New York released Recordare on 4 December 2025 as part of the CD New Orchestral Music from Mexico, recorded by Orquesta Filarmónica de la Ciudad de México conducted by Scott Yoo (2024).
