Praise for Paredes

The album 'e-piano', which comprises CD and DVD, has been awarded both the Melómano de Oro and Excepcional Scherzo prizes.
The opera, 'Cuatro Corridos', is a collobartion of four composers which tells a story of human sex trafficking and was released by Bridge records in the autumn. It features Paredes' work 'La Tierra de la miel' and Fanfare Magazine describe it as "powerful, compelling, excruciatingly dramatic music."
An article in San Francisco Classical Voice explains how "Paredes ends the opera with the most overtly dramatic music, pulling out all the stops, including members of the ensemble interjecting vocalizations."
Another review in 'Musical Opinion' says that "Cuatro Corridos is a remarkable achievement. The performance is superb and Bridge’s recording a triumph."
The recording can be found here.
