On the 12 February at 1pm, the Hebrides ensemble will be livestreaming their performance of Nigel Osborne’s piano trio, The Piano Tuner, from the Perth Concert Hall.
Hebrides ensemble livestream of Nigel Osborne’s work, ‘The Piano Tuner’
9 February 2018
The Piano Tuner, a work for piano, violin and violoncello, was commissioned by the City of London Festival for the Piano Trio of Vienna in 2004 and was premiered that year at LSO St Luke’s.
It has since received many performances, particularly from the Fidelio Trio who, in 2010, recorded this work alongside pieces by Sally Beamish and Judith Weir. This recording, featuring piano trios from Scotland, was also titled The Piano Tuner.
Here at UYMP, we hope that many of you will tune into this livestream to hear the Hebrides ensemble perform Osborne’s The Piano Tuner.
