Thomas Simaku was a featured composer on BBC Radio 3's flagship contemporary music programme Hear and Now, in an episode devoted to highlights from last year's Huddersfield Festival.
Thomas Simaku's Insomnio Broadcast on BBC Radio and Online
1 January 2008The broadcast is available to listen to online for 7 days after its broadcast date of January 5th. Thomas Simaku's new work Insomnio for fifteen players was given its UK premiere by the Dutch Ensemble Insomnio conducted by Ulrich Pöhl at the recent Huddersfield Festival. Commissioned jointly by the Insomnio Ensemble and the Deutschlandfunk Radio, the work has already been broadcast on German radio, and featured on Hear and Now on Saturday January 5th, at 10:30pm. The programme will be available to listen to online on the Radio 3 website for until January 12th, as part of the listen again feature.
