Outstanding vocal group I Fagiolini will give the Russian premiere of Ed Hughes’s Sun, New Moon and Women Shouting on Sunday 8 December 2019 in the Pushkin Museum, Moscow, as part of an international tour of their Au Natural programme.
Russian Premiere of Ed Hughes’ ‘Sun, New Moon and Women Shouting’: Performed by I Fagiolini
2 December 2019Sun, New Moon and Women Shouting sets a poem by Tom Lowenstein and is a vivid account of Inuit women lifting their new-born babies to catch the sun’s first rays after the long winter. I Fagiolini toured the work widely following its premiere in 1995 including a performance in Tromso, Norway and the BBC Singers performed it in London in 2010. I Fagiolini will repeat their Moscow programme in Kings Place on Saturday 25 April 2020.
