Some recent works by Nigel Osborne include:

Angel Nebulae for quartet of male voices, commissioned by Red Byrd 

Botanical Studies for oboe and percussion

Balkan Dances and Laments for oboe, violin, viola, cello and piano, commissioned by the Hebrides Ensemble

Adagio for string orchestra, commissioned by the World Peace Orchestra

Dialogue for oboe and harp, commissioned by the Cambridge Music Festival and Concertino for violin and symphony orchestra, commissioned by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

In addition, his opera The Piano Tuner is being produced by Music Theatre Wales and the Royal Opera House with performances in October 2004. It is based on a novel by David Mason with libretto by Amanda Holden. Osborne was on the last honours List, receiving an MBE for services to music therapy overseas.
