On the 20th and 21st of June, a two-day festival celebrating the compositions of Anthony Gilbert and Adam Gorb will be held at the Royal Northern College of Music.
In Focus: Gilbert and Gorb
19 March 2018
This festival, which features a series of concerts and interviews, will allow RNCM to celebrate 'the music of the two most important composers in its 50 year history – Anthony Gilbert and Adam Gorb. Anthony and Adam are the only two Heads of Composition to serve at the RNCM, producing not only brilliant students but also creating and shaping one of the most varied and vibrant Composition departments in Europe. All of this achievement sits on the back of their brilliance as composers.' Don’t miss the chance to hear Anthony's works Dark Singing, Dancing Light and Encantos 2010 and premières from both composers, including a gorgeous new work by Anthony inspired by his partner Ray Sassoon and Adam Gorb’s powerful new opera, The Path to Heaven.
