4 star Guardian review for James Weeks and EXAUDI

A recent concert by James Weeks with EXAUDI at the Principal Sound festival has been described as 'immaculately presented' in a four-star review by Andrew Clements, writing in The Guardian.

The concert featured Weeks' own work A tear for mixed choir and organ, which Clements calls 'a model of restraint'.

Clements writes:

Weeks’s own work, A Tear, in which small-scale organ solos separated increasingly elaborate treatments of a short Old English text, was a model of restraint.

The concert included Morton Feldman’s earliest published works, Only, and his only work for organ, Principal Sound, plus music by Cassandra Miller. Aldo Clementi and Jürg Frey.
