Programme note

Auditorium was commissioned by Glyndebourne Opera, Photoworks and De La Warr Pavillion, and was inspired by the architecture of Glyndebourne's auditorium. It was composed for the film Auditorium, by visual artist Sophie Rickett.

The work was recorded by the South Downs Youth Orchestra conducted by Malcolm Warnes to accompany an installation of the film by Sophy Rickett, at the Triple Echo exhibition, De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill, from 29th September 2007 until 6th January 2008.

Auditorium was nominated for a BASCA British Composer's Award in 2008.
