Hilda Paredes speaks about her new Mode Records CD Señales, in conversation with Ruth Prieto, on the El compositor habla website. The CD was awarded four stars by The Guardian's Andrew Clements. Paredes reveals that the CD is very special to her, since the featured works span nearly two decades.

9 September 2016The works, written at various stages of her life, deal with different ideas and the composer says that her compositional palette has been enriched through experience, but she feels that there is a unity in the CD which is found largely in her use of musical form, within which she has found both solidity and flexibility. There is also a great poetic sense in Paredes' composition.
