In conjunction with the CD, Kondo's first book of the same title, originally published in 1979 by Asahi Press, is available in a new edition by Artes Publishing, Tokyo. The CD comprises 5 works written in 1973 and 1974, a group of pieces in which Kondo set out his original compositional style, whilst the book gives an insight into the composer's aesthetic and compositional thought processes at the time of writing.
