3 June 2016Clements praises Paredes' 'vivid aural imagination' in Páramo de Voces (Wasteland of Voices) and the 'wonderfully imagined textures' of Señales (Signals), a new work for the composer's husband, violinist Irvine Arditti, and the New York-based Ensemble Signal.
Señales is Paredes' third release on Mode, after Listen How They Talk: Chamber Music 1998-2001 and The Arditti Quartet: Mexico - New Music for Strings, which featured Uy u'tan.
