17th London New Wind Festival

The 17th London New Wind Festival brings us another year of birthday celebrations, on Wednesday 22nd October, at 7.30pm. Composers Anthony Gilbert and Jeremy Dale Roberts, who have turned 80 this year, and Evis Sammoutis, who was 35 in May, are programmed in the 'Birthday Composers and Friends' concert at Regent's Hall.
Alan Tomlinson will play Gilbert's Recitative for solo trombone, Robert Coleridge will perform Dale Roberts' Stele for John Lambert for solo piano and a performance of Sammoutis' Four Pieces for Clarinet and Piano will be given by Phil Edwards and Robert Coleridge. The ensemble will include festival organiser and oboist Catherine Pluygers and horn player Henryk Sienkewicz.
