Biography
Recent and forthcoming performances of compositions include: Three Orphans for three female voices, commissioned by Juice vocal ensemble and performed in April 2003 and January 2004, Psychocorruptor Infernalis for Symphonic Wind Orchestra, commissioned by the University of York and performed in February 2003, Two Stops Short of Barking for String Quartet, commissioned by SPNM Sound Inventors project and premiered February 2003, Three Hungarian Peasant Songs commissioned and performed by Etone vocal ensemble, September 2002, and Rocking-Horse Madrigals for Jazz Hands, premiered in December 2003.
Compositions for stage include: Art, Bermuda Arts Theatre, 1997 Chester Mystery Cycle, King Lear, Northcott Theatre, Twelfth Night, Theatr Clwyd, Oedipus and Antigone, Theatr Clwyd, The Life Of Galileo/The Caucasian Chalk Circle/Mother Courage, Theatre Clwyd, The Marriage Of Figaro, Theatr Clwyd, Faust, Theatr Clwyd, The Dog In The Manger, Northcott Theatre, The Two Pierrots Or The White Dinner, Budapest, The Virgin And The Bull, Theatr Clwyd, The Cloggies, Theatr Clwyd, Three Melodramas, Theatr Clwyd, The Winters Tale, Northcott Theatre, Titus Andronicus, John Longenbaum's London production.
Laurence recently completed his PhD studies in Composition at the University of York. He is now a Lecturer in Music at Thames Valley University and lives in Reading.
